The Humber College four-year Film and Media Production degree program combines theory and practice, preparing students for a rewarding career in media, film and television.An emphasis is placed on writing and storytelling and the creation of compelling visual narratives. Students study courses such as Screenwriting for Film/Media, Picture Editing, Production Management, Directing, Cinematography and Post-Production.At Humber, students work with top-quality equipment from the first week of classes. A work placement in the summer between years three and four adds to the on-set experience that employers want. In their final year, students will work on a thesis project that covers all aspects of film and media production, from pitching a story idea to the final stages of production.Courses are taught by industry experts and cover all aspects of the industry, including Media Entrepreneurship, which teaches the financial side of media production, and Entertainment Law, which teaches legal aspects.
